Tony George has been constructing model railways for customers for 25 years, first operating from the early eighties from his hotel base in Bewdley, Worcestershire - hence the name Severn Valley Models. Many people who stayed with him during the eighties and nineties will remember his O Gauge layout in the cellar bar.

Owlbury House
A business move to Uper Owlbury House, Bishop's Castle in Shropshire allowed the construction of a 60' x 28' building, to house a fine scale Gauge One model railway, which is called 'Bishop's Castle'. This will eventually go round an acre of ground. British Railway Modelling have photographed the layout up to date, and will appear in the magazine later on this year. The project is ongoing, so there will always be something new to see in the future.

The railway room
The building is ideal to receive prospective customers (by appointment only), where one can see the standard of Tony's work. The idea of such a visit is to provide inspiration and information as to the construction of the client's proposed layout. On lengthy consultations, we can provide en suite accommodation at a nominal charge at Upper Owlbury House.
