Price Your Layout

The most important aspect in having a model railway built is surely the price. In the following layout types, we will give you some guidelines as to how much your layout will cost.

Baseboards

For small layouts base boards are constructed using Sundella boards with a 25 x 50mm pine framed backing. Standard board is 4 x 2ft, legs are 50 x 50mm and are 3ft long.. Standard boards are £50 each if collected and £90 each if erected on sight by us. Legs are £7.50 each.

For larger layouts we use 12mm ply with a pine backing. Boards are made to measure, prices work out similar to Sundella board. Prices on application

DCC

£155 per point plus 80%. this includes making points DCC friendly, cork underlay, DCC wiring, slow action point motors, contol panel , switches, LED etc.

e.g. 30 sets of points
